Ocean News Network Radio

Established in 2015, Ocean News Network Radio is a for profit organization that is motivated by the belief that community arts and participatory media practices play a vital role in building and sustaining healthy communities. The Ocean News Network Radio vision of a strong, healthy community is one where listeners are actively engaged and fully informed; one where they have the opportunity to shape what takes place in their community, and nation.

ONN Radio is focused on Informing, Inspiring, and Impacting lives locally and internationally, and follows the mission, vision and values of its affiliates.

The mandate of ONN Radio is to provide a voice to the wider community and other ethno-racial and marginalized communities residing in the U.S, and internationally. As such ONN Radio has a unique global voice.

While ONN Radio is faith-based and feature various types of secular programing; entertainment news and gospel programs, popular urban musical styles and types of genre mixture of Reggae, Rap/Hip-Hop, Pop, R&B/Souls, Country, Holidays including showcasing various ministry program, a strong emphasis will be on promoting strong and vibrant faith based communities.

Part of our vision is promoting or associated with specific cultural ethnicities and multilingual programming will be encouraged and supported.

ONN Radio is dedicated to social justice programs, and special broadcasts.

Ocean News Network Radio participatory media practices play a vital role in building and sustaining healthy communities, they have the opportunity to shape what takes place in their community, participate in learning opportunities and are able to collaborate together to creatively address issues that have an impact on them.

ONN Radio provides original programming from 6 AM to 12 AM, seven days weekly. In keeping with Ocean News Network Radio focus vision to bring community members together to creatively address issues that affect them. As part of this mandate ONN Radio will provide programmers with free community meeting space on- going panel discussions on issues that communities are struggling with; and religious workshop opportunities for children, newcomers, high school and university students, women, seniors and others who have an interest in using the vehicle of internet Radio to dialogue and promote awareness of and within their communities.
